Value-Up (“Value Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit our website at value-up.org, submit a contact or inquiry form, attend or schedule one of our programs, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
Certain rights and disclosures may vary depending on your state of residence, your relationship with us, and whether the information is governed by laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), and other applicable federal or state laws.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Value-Up (“Value Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and describes how we collect, use, and share personal information in connection with our website at value-up.org, contact and inquiry forms, school assembly programs, workshops, professional development, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy does not govern information we process solely on behalf of schools or districts as a contracted service provider under a separate written agreement. School-specific data practices in those arrangements may be governed by FERPA, COPPA, or separate institutional agreements.
By using our Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following purposes
- to provide and operate our Services
- to respond to inquiries and scheduling requests

4. Calls, Text Messages, AI Voice, and Ringless Voicemail

Opt-out and revocation of consent
You may opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. You may also revoke consent to receive calls or texts, including automated or prerecorded communications, by any reasonable method that clearly communicates your request, including contacting us using the information in Section 18.
We will honor opt-out and revocation requests as required by law. A request to stop one category of communication may, where legally required or operationally appropriate, be treated as a broader request to stop similar non-emergency automated communications to that number. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send non-marketing communications permitted by law, such as transactional, informational, or legally required notices.
5. Consent Records
Where we rely on consent for communications or data practices, we may maintain records of
- the form or page where consent was collected
- the date and time of consent
- the wording presented at the time of consent
- the phone number or email address provided
- IP address or other submission metadata

- remember preferences
- measure traffic and campaign performance
- understand website engagement
- improve design and functionality
- support security and troubleshooting
- deliver or measure advertising, where used
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings. Some browsers allow you to send a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no uniform industry standard for recognizing such signals, our Services may not respond to them in every context.
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We may also embed YouTube videos; YouTube may set cookies when those embeds are loaded.
7. Student Records, FERPA, and Education Information
Value Up provides programs and services to K-12 schools and districts. When we work with schools, certain student education records may be governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) rather than by general consumer privacy laws.
Value Up acts as a service provider to schools in those arrangements. We do not independently maintain student education records as covered by FERPA, and we do not disclose such records except as authorized by the school, required by law, or otherwise permitted under FERPA.
This Privacy Policy does not limit any rights you may have under FERPA or other applicable student privacy laws. For questions about student education records, please contact the relevant school or district directly.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are directed primarily to educators, school administrators, and parents – not to children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without providing any required notice and obtaining any required consent, unless an exception applies.
When Value Up presents programs in schools, we do so under the school’s authorization and consistent with the school’s FERPA and COPPA obligations. We do not collect personal information directly from students through our public website or contact forms.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information inappropriately through our Services may contact us to request review or deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements.
